Warning against fake job offers
The Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) has reported an increase in fraud attempts targeting people applying for residence permits in Norway. Scammers pretend to represent Norwegian employers, offering fake job opportunities and often demanding payment in exchange for “arranging” work or residence.
Unfortunately, ASKO has been mentioned in connection with some of these fraud attempts. We therefore wish to warn all job seekers about the risk of recruitment fraud and the serious consequences of submitting false documents.
Please note that no one receives a job offer from ASKO without first attending a personal interview with one of our recruiters, and that a background check is always conducted before any employment is finalized.
For more information about this type of fraud, please visit the UDI website: www.udi.no/en/words-and-expressions/fake-job-offers/
