ASKO is Norway’s largest grocery wholesaler and a part of NorgesGruppen. ASKO ensures effective distribution of products to the grocery, retail convenience goods and institutional catering sectors. An effective distribution network is a prerequisite to ensure that the consumers get products to the lowest price and best quality possible. Retailers throughout Norway get competitive prices and a wide range of products being customers to ASKO.
ASKO has 4500 employees, and throughout Norway we have 13 regional warehouses, 10 Storcash stores (B2B), two central warehouses and one consolidation terminal in Vestby, Akershus.
ASKO NORGE is the parent company for all the warehouses. ASKO is one of the largest Norwegian transport companies with more than 700 trucks on the roads, every day.

ASKO’s environmental goals include:
- to reduce energy consumption by 20 per cent
- to generate renewable electricity from our own solar and wind energy facilities
- to increase the use of electricity, biogas and other renewable energy carriers in our transport
- 95% of the waste must be sorted at source
ASKO and new technology:
- ASKO is highly advanced in adopting new technology.
- ASKO is a driving force for development and use of biofuels.
- Electric and hydrogen-powered distribution vehicles will be prioritized in the years ahead.
- Solar and wind energy are key focus areas for ASKO. The company operates more than 100,000 m² of solar panels and seven wind turbines. Based on current production estimates, these facilities are expected to generate electricity equivalent to approximately 100 per cent of ASKO's annual energy consumption.
